Upon completing the maceration in the incubator, we now need to consider separation of the core constituents. This is a purification stage. We have the gross physical aspects of the body of the herb in question. After time, this will settle naturally we can however speed the process of settlement by filtration.
We must remember the core principles of this whole work of Alchemy. Wether in its basic forms or more complex so called higher works of the body mind conjuction. We apply the process of discernment from the Latin word discernere meaning to separate. This entails above all else removing what is not necessary for a subjects so called transmutation in its simplest form.
Trismegistus stated: That which is below is like that which is above, and that which is above is like that which is below. This statement needs much meditation to fully undertstand what it means. Basically, if mind is producing actions of refinement in whatever situation below here in the physical realm, it is reflected in the higher realms of being aslo. Like wise what is happening in the higher realms is, is reflected below too. This is a very simple explanation I know, it does give us a starting point for much deeper investigation and meditation. The only separation in existence is the belief in mind being here in a body and that we are somehow using it or controlling it for our own purposes. Food for thought.
